We are passionate about busting the myth that you can’t live well with dementia and about improving quality of life and outcomes for those living with dementia and their families.
Our directors Lucy and Jo are licensed presenters of the Contented Dementia Trust SPECAL® method of dementia care. The SPECAL® method explains dementia from the point of view of the person with the illness, how to positively manage the condition and how to work towards life-long wellbeing. As part of their induction, all members of The Service Tree team are trained in the SPECAL® method of dementia care. For more information about the SPECAL® method or The Contented Dementia Trust we highly recommend the book Contented Dementia by Oliver James or visit the charity’s website at www.contenteddementiatrust.org.
We are also Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friends Champions and hold dementia awareness information sessions in West Bridgford and the surrounding area. Our team are all Dementia Friends, committed to making our community a more dementia-friendly place.
We offer a full range of care and support services for those with dementia including all aspects of personal care, medication management, domestic assistance, quality companionship and outings and our weekly social day care.
